Amazing
There's garlic growing in the spot where we planted and harvested it last year. I either missed some, or the bulbs managed to spawn.
A new year
After a foot of snow last week, we seem to be having a real spring. Still, nothing's going into the ground until after the May long weekend.

Suprise!
Despite lying dormant and not looking like they were going to participate at all this year, the asparagus started coming up yesterday. Hooray!

Trying To Plant New Things
This years adventures in gardening include planting garlic and asparagus. So far, the garlic threatening to take over, and the asparagus has, so far, shown no intention of participating.
The Joy Of Fertilizer
MiracleGro is TEH JOOS for plants.
I noted a huge difference in their adult sizes between two summers ago when I *cough* dosed them all weekly, and last year, when I was too busy to bother doing much gardening.
For example, the biggest sunflowers the year prior topped out at 11-feet. Last year, they barely hit 7-feet.
It's a good thing the IOC doesn't test my garden.

Watermelon Update
Pwrevious attempts at growing watermelon have been dismal failures. This year we've got >6 plants sprouting. Maybe the streak is broken.
